I said if you had to parse extensively , that's the key word *extensively* to notice a diff at all, then it's worthless. I try to avoid moderate upgrades, and I definitely avoid sidegrades. If you spent 3 days parsing it, and noticed a 1% or less diff in dmg taken, would it be worth it? I dunno, I doubt it, someone could make that argument for AA's except for the fact that those keep going up, you don't trade in 1 set of aa's for another.

Could just as easily attribute the 1% to parse errors or margin of error or anything. If you're at the very bleeding edge of content then maybe it might be worth it, but given how new SoF is, a 1% increase to anything isn't much concidering you're not seeing the whole scope of what's available.

My point was that I'd venture to say if you took a 10AC upgrade on a piece of gear, I sincerely doubt you'd see a 1% difference in damage taken. I'm in love with AC as much as anyone, and hate to ever see mine go down, but if the issue is losing 10 or 15 AC on one piece of gear, the effects it would take on that gear to equal the impact of 10 or 15 AC on a tank with 4000'ish AC are going to be pretty darned hard to see. It is going to take extensive parsing. So your case stands as long as you are saying you also wouldn't take an upgrade just because it had 10 more AC.

AC has been generally weak in the last few expansions. That isn't news to anyone. But it isn't realistic to think that they're going to give some massive mitigation improvement to a piece of gear in exchange for 10 or 20 AC, when 10 or 20 AC on the whole isn't going to have a massive impact.

That's a good argument that "How can you tell what the difference is between a few points of heroic agility just like how can you tell what gaining a few points of AC will do?" Except we're forgetting the original point of this thread. We are LOSING AC on the new gear and the heroic agility is supposed to more than make up for it. So take your argument of is gaining a small amount of AC noticeable and reverse it. Is gaining a small amount of heroic agility worth Losing a small/medium amount of AC?
