Actually, I'm fairly certain that if it was my job to write the code for this and a bug, yes a bug, was making the game 'busted' for a huge portion of the player base (probably 1/3 to 1/2 see it consistently), I would fix it out of pride in my work. This isn't something new. It has been around for a long, long time. It seems to have gotten worse lately, but make no mistake, it had been around for a long time.
As for not being able to reproduce it, I call BULLSHIT. Huge, steaming piles of bullshit. As many people as have this, I'm pretty damn sure that if they took 5k and built a variety of machines and fired up EQ on them, they would see it on at least one machine. 10k and I'm SURE they could find it. Maybe this issue isn't worth 10k to fix for them, but that would go back to my first post.
I design/make machines that make computer chips. I know all about how sometimes customers see things that you didn't see during testing. I also know that I go to the customer location and see the problem for myself to fix it. As these machines have software and hardware, I understand how sometimes software that should work fine has odd reactions to some hardware. This is why you run a variety of hardware to flesh out bugs before you send it out and certainly when trying to troubleshoot it.
For some shaman, this isn't a huge deal since they are mostly stationary players. For pullers, this is a huge deal when trying to split mobs and look around corners and such.
As for being rude to SOE, their customer service has earned a negative feeling from the player base. They have a great game concept and people love it. The customer service sucks and hasn't earned much respect.
