So has anyone replicated this test with Sloth, to narrow down the problem?

Is this true only for defensive procs or procs in general? I know its easier to verify when you have fire a defensive proc due to getting hit a lit by many mobs. But if that were to be true for offensive procs then a berserker for instance might suffer DPS loss when running Panther + Storm Blade. A 100DD is certainly not worth to delay a 1000 dmg hit.

Well, based on observation from experience the reduction in dps gets worse the more mobs you have on you. It gets so bad that with 20-30 mobs on you, you basically stop doing direct damage. Even with 4 or 5 mobs on you it becomes very noticeable. From time to time I hit Seb to gather lillies for Mok, and pull a large part of the zone at once. I use lasitude for healing so I can keep them all up front for the benefit of furious, and during that time I can barely hit anything (the hits I do see are probably mostly ripostes). Essentially I kill them with my damage shields, until mob numbers drop to the point when I can start swinging again.

Here's my parses from this morning with 2 hybrids (Flammy & Kruess respectively both using the same weapon Forlorn Blade 27 dmg/30 dly for 5 minutes on each parse using EQ Companion:

Basically, the delay on the weapon from both hybrids remain relatively consistent with and without Lassitude cast on them.
