i had mine do almost the exact same thing on a Vule DT. was fun tanking him for 40 secs or so after it triggered lol.

I have also had it go off multiple times in a row recently. The other night I was doing the "turn in" for the inner Vergalid Mines key, and invis dropped. So I aggroed the whole room. I ran around the zone for about 2 minutes, with Second life going off seveal times. I must have had 50 mobs after me. I didn't want to run to the zone out, because I didn't want to train the people camping there. So, since I had cleared out the whole upper section of the zone, I was able to get all of the mobs behind me and run far enough ahead of them that I could click off the invulnerability and gate out before they got to me.

fired twice today in Blackfeather Roost, saving me both times. Once is from when I fell off the 4th Cliff, the Gods apparently like me lots and healed me for 27,730 before moving me to the graveyard (where I regened hp normally).

I have done a hellavu lot of tradeskilling ( I now need around just 100 skill points to max all my tradeskills and have alchemy 300 too ) and I have been aware of a pattern in the RNG for a long time.
I believe it acts like a sine wave with I would guess about a 3 minute duration. So you will sometimes see a 2nd and even a 3rd skill up come along in close order as it peaks , and then half way through the wave see an increase in failures as it hits the trough. Yes there will be isolated spikes outside this, but the overall pattern over months of tradeskilling is there.
I havent bothered trying to prove it, and I am sure some people will flame it but whatever /shrug.

I would really think that CHA would have something to do with the fire rate.
But I can't be certain. We have just compared between my guilds shaman, the ones with lower CHA do not seem to have it fire as much as I do, with maxed CHA.

I will now, as I seem to often in threads like this, posit that Scow...Jaraman's, sorry, feelings are not good evidence of how the game is working. Long term log files would have to be parsed. Since this seems like a collossal waste of time to verify information that's correct by inspection, I'm not going to do it. If anyone feels like actually doing the work of picking them apart, I'll volunteer all my 2.27 GB of Brohg's log files from 2006. Just PM me, you can Grep out all the instances of "You have been granted" and "You begin to cast", then hand remove all the spells with no chance of firing Go(R)M.
