You've already noticed my proposition doesn't make Time's Antithesis not phenominal. It's on a 7sec cycle instead of 3sec. Just along with chopping the recast from Balance, it would make equipping or not equipping TA a choice, instead of just a litmus test for idiocy.
I'd still be on board for a plan that required TA in hand, btw. Wouldn't have to hand in, just have, like Spear of Fate for Crafted Talisman. I'm just feelin' for my bros who don't have a TA atm. I don't think there should be a huge power gap between two people who manage , just because one of them joined the guild while they were farming three years ago.

Okay folks, you've convinced me. No matter how fast it *feels* like I'm slowing, I'd be better with a ta. But to be honest, I'm not sure whether to be more or less disturbed. I'd been reconciled to no ta for quite a while.
I'd still rather see some alternative to ta along the lines of Brohg's proposal rather than just making that same piece of equipment inventory clickable.

My guild has its full complement of Time's Antithesis, but only one shaman has click cures for Disease & Curse from Plane of Fire. Plane of Time is considerably easier to get folks for than Arch Mage Yozanni

This is insane.
You people are referring to the TA as if it's something that you cannot live without. That it produces some effect that you cannot create any other way. It doesn't, the TA is a so so item that happens to have a nice clicky on it. That's ALL it is.
I've seen it compared to the Singing Short Sword in this thread and what that weapon does for Bards and how the Devs kindly changed it for Bards so they didn't have to equip it all the time. There is NO comparison. For starters the Singing Short Sword is the Bard Epic 1.0 weapon not a random drop off some MoB. Secondly the Singing Short Sword produces an effect that Bards cannot otherwise create or produce themselves! The TA is/does neither of these things.
Think about it the TA lets you cast a mana free Turgur's Insects. Which lest we forget is a spell we can already cast as a shaman. The mana free part is nice, but the spell itself isn't so hot anymore. Believe it or not Turg's as a spell is almost out dated these days. The only thing it has going for it is it's duration. On that note it is the better choice only in encounters where you know the mob isn't going to be dead in 90 seconds and where you can actually land it. Which pretty much eliminates everything except Raid level Mobs and pulls of 4 or more in xp groups. In all other situations Balance of Discord or even Balance of Nihil is a better choice.
Turg's has no resist mod, so even though your casting it mana free in order to land it you are clicking that TA 2 or even 3 times on average or malosing and then clicking once or twice. Even considering the recast times landing one of the Balance slows would be faster in most cases. The resists on most mobs in the higher end xp areas practically garuntees that you will bounce Turg's at least once before it lands without any debuffs on.
Yes the TA lets you cast during that 2 seconds while your spells are refreshing. In that essence it has a nice side effect, however it is not the only useful clicky in the world that you can cast during that time. Hell you can even pop aa's in those 2 seconds.
The mana free thing is still nice but isn't really all that hot these days either when you think about it. With mana pools becoming so large and mana regeneration, especially Shaman mana regeneration being so HUGE it's hard to run low or out of mana in your average xp group. Honestly when was the last time YOU seriously worried about mana when your group dosen't suck?
In raid situations unless you are pulling huge amounts of mobs slow isn't such a big issue and I'd be willing to bet that when slowing on raids with a TA most mobs are at least half dead before you land it. That makes it kind of a wasted exercise does it not?
The bandoleir practically makes this argument stupid. When you can scrip a hot key to swap in your TA click it and then swap it out again with the press of a single button I can't see why you even think that you have a reason to complain. Oh no! it messes up my inventory bags! well why don't you just reorganize your inventory bags once with the TA and bandoleir in mind and never have to worry about it again.
There are far far better items out there for a Shaman to have equppied in thier primarly slot. If you are so attached to your TA that you have to have it equipped then you are only hurting yourself and your survivability.
Alot of you that have a TA have come to lean on it like a crutch and view it as a part of yourself that you cannot function without. In short you have handicapped yourself. Life at as a Shaman is possible in EQ without a TA, as a matter of fact it's thriving. It's time to stop relying on your crutch and become a whole shaman again.

Oh puhleeeeeease stop with the "i bet you don't have it" bullshit allready. I have one, yea it can be annoying at times, live with it and learn to use bandolier.
