Yeah, your numbers look right for theoretical max mana regen. Ephasis on theoretical. And that first 97 is available to any toon with the correct (generally available in raid) buffs. However, I'd place combined Cani return at about half of what that shows in practice.

Canni 5 is 30 ticks for refresh. So 35.5 mana/tick if you hit it just as it refreshes.

Ancient canni mana regen is somewhere between 0 and 135 mana/tick. The max is if you canni everytime it refreshes, min is no time to canni.

Pained Memory mana regen is somewhere between 0 and 104 mana/tick.


In combat:
Ancient canni will give you about 55 mana/tic,
Pained Memory about 45 mana/tick.
Canni 5 about 23 mana/tick. [edit: Based on fairly easy content. Harder content reduces these numbers.]

Pretty rough estimate but based on some actual exp grinds. You can regen more but have to do less for other spells or you can cast other stuff more and canni less. Your mileage will vary.

Hmm Maybe we can get this going again just for the sake of old times and maybe tracking "in-combat" mana regen after TSS. Just throwing these out there so please correct me if I'm wrong with any of them. Maybe someday we will have a look back at this and say "remember how things used to be!?!"

one thing to realize when going from theory to reality is that the other classes can have that relativly easily on a raid justby getting buffs.

Shaman on the other hand have the sole active mana regen so we have to work at it. A necro can sit there in his group/raid doing all his stuff and still get the Mana regen listed. shaman its well what we all know.

I am working on factoring in gather mana, it should be in there imo...still trying to nail down something solid in that area. Added druid and cleric, please check for accuracy. Also, I overlooked worn FT? On wizard FT, why do all the top end profiles show them at like 25 worn FT but everyone other class at 20?

Maybe your right with GM, I'm really not sure if I should include that since it would mean I may have to include Divine Rez then...if it's "iffy" then I'd like to stay clear of it. I also want to stay away from "mana taps" group or self casting spells, just for now because I'd like to keep this in line with optimal self + buffs mana regen (bard song being the exception because you will most likely always have it with raid buffs). Once we get a solid base maybe we can go back in and add in SK group taps, enchanter self taps, necro group taps (+15 mana per tick wow), and the rest of the group spells so you can see what you could be getting if you were to add any specific class to the group.

Also, it would be cool to go back to this again after TSS, new spells, and new whatever to view optimal in combat group mana regen or something of the like.

I still need a solid formula for Mod rods though... It may have to wait until tomorrow.

Whats up with lucy, graffe's saying harvest is only 351 mana per cast but lucy says its 450. Lucy also reports mod rods to be 225 mana per tick which wouln't be 7/tick, but more like 4.5. I believe the 7 but why is lucy so fuxxored these days? Its worse then Ive ever seen it.

005 Elemental Siphon should be 007 Elemental Simulacrum
As for wizards, Magelo shows the mana regen from the familiar as flowing thought (though the revamped magelo is going to change that). I don't see where you see 450 mana for harvest on Lucy, it shows as 351 for me. Wizards have some posts about their mana regen from last year .
Another thing to consider for the int casters is the mana robe (20 mana for 60 hp, 3 sec cast time). But that requires a whole lot of clicking to be meaningful (not too bad in downtime... bet you see a lot of those hitting the bazaar soon).
