An idea with a future Vet AA *Post your Thoughts*

With over the years of playing, one thing always come to mind in many old school players. And that is cringing at the thought of destroying raid loot or letting it rot in their bank.

I know Sony is strict about loot concerns and the thoughts about twinking are frowned upon, but not neglected. Here is what I think would be a really cool idea. Being that most all raid loot has a high level restriction, you really can't consider it twinking. I find it an alternative source of utilizing things that the Player, not the toon, put the time in to earn.

Allow a Vet Reward which temporarily flags One No Drop item transferrable One time only between a toon on the same account via a shard bank slot or something of the same idea.

I know some might not agree with this idea. I can understand their objections, but in the same, there are many pluses to this as well.

For instance, tanks find it hard to get good groups these days because of HP/AC restrictions. A bazaar geared tank is of really no use in places like RSS or Nest, because the lack of HP/AC, they won't last 10sec. against a mob there. Having the opportunity to transfer 1 300hp item or some nice AC item could benefit their chances of being able to find a group.

Same could go for Shamans, Clerics, etc. for larger mana pools, increasing mana regen, or better focus effects allowing them to be more useful.

Post your thoughts on this You never know if many like this idea & /feedback it ingame, it may happen, hehe.

Like once per year or something?
It'd be nice, but 1 item isn't going to change the power of a character at all.

I forget who first suggested it, but I kinda favor a Vet AA that would let you refresh any other Vet AA. So each day(or 36 hours), you could have 2x Lesson's, or 2x Jesters, 2x resists, etc..

The intent of Vet AAs is to provide many of your long-time subscribers useful benefits to use in-game. You want to get a lot of generalized use out of these AAs for all types of players. This is why things like max resists, double XP, 100% rezz, and a healing servant are good Vet AAs. They provide everyone benefit, some on a daily basis.

Now think about being able to transfer one no-drop item on the same account. First of all, it is very limited because it only allows a single transfer, one time, and then the Vet AA is no longer useful. Next, it assumes for the transfer that the other toon is able to use it as well... well, if a shaman were to give away an item, he'd have to give it to another shaman, ranger, rogue or 'zerker on that same account. Not many people have this kind of setup. Finally, it also assumes that you have alts you play regularly on the same account --- I don't, Jaraman is my only main on this account, with a never-played 36 BST the second highest toon on it.

So basically, the proposed Vet AA would benefit very few players, and is a one-shot deal. Not a rewarding pay-off for a year of faithful paying and playing for the majority of players.

I like the idea of refreshing one other Vet AA. Would be nice to have an extra Expedient Recovery or be able to use max resists twice on a heavy raid night.

Not necessarily a one shot deal. Something like a refresh timer just like the other Vet AA's. To make it not totally unbalancing. Maybe something like Once a Month. I don't think it would only be useful to vewy few people. There are many players out there that have multiple played toons on the same account. This is why I was thinking about this idea. Plus, there are plenty of high end raiding items out there that are also All/All. Take for instance the Mask of Forbidden Rights off of AMV for an example. Or how bout that belt from Tacvi, which of course I forgot the name of it.

Basically, we all hate destroying old rotting raid gear and having it take up space in our banks while we stare at them. This would offer the opportunity to put them to good use again in one way or another.

In Sony's eyes, it would also be an incentive for people to pay longer to receive the Vet reward. Both sides, the player & the provider would benefit from this

Aye, I hate destroying old rotting gear that used to be cherished awhile ago. What I'd like is for you to be able to Tribute the gear... at least this way when it goes, it goes out with a bang... Mask of Forbidden Rites for 20k in Tribute. Now that would be a sweet deal.

Why sell them Kozul im sure you can find shaman that are severly under geared and willing to accept donations. Think of it as giving back to the Thraall.
