It's not that more total mana is bad, it's that HP are better in the long run.

At this point in the game, for me, mana is just about never a problem because I am choosy about what I cast and when. It's casting time that limits my contributions more than anything else.

They could solve shm hp without touching gear by putting shaman hp per point of sta on par with melee classes as opposed to healer classes, effectivly just increasing shm base hp relative to other healers.

Ya, if I had pox pants I would consider it.

Acutally, are any of the augments usable in the legs slot? (The answer is no actually, most slots are able to have one of the augments with AE V on it - chest, shoulders, back, neck, face, head, wrist, arm, feet, waist, hands and range - most of those slots are actually the rather rare (or expensive) augments, the common ones go in only a few slots).

I'd like them to consider making an actual item with it on it. I'd consider even a rather crappy item that I could swap out when I'm not actually dotting. I'd much rather prefer a decent item (raid obtainable) or at least a buyable augment (DoN) with the effect on it (so that I could at least make a decent item from it. The cost of making a AE V augment is stupid high (especially since you can buy most of the other makable augment effects from DoN now).

If you notice, most of these items are rather easily obtainable. Does class balance dictate that AE V be limited to something that costs so much to buy in the bazaar (or 100s of hours to farm the materials to make (and most likely fail) yourself)? I realize that it is doable, but considering the efforts that most classes need to get equivalent focuses is: go farm creator, buy DoN aug. I would just like to have this considered. It's not unreasonable, the coding exists, make a DoN augment if nothing.

Ya, it confused me back in the PoP days too. I'd still like to get a set of Pox pants though. Would be another clicky to add to my inventory.

I think the main difference in Shaman healing is that we MUST have certain things other classes dont...

For example Shaman must have a good healing focus and must have all their healing aa etc.
By contrast since Druids and Clerics heal better therefor their bar is lower.
My Cleric is still fine with his improved healing 4 focus whereas my Shaman would struggle even with my better gear and aa with that.

What that leaves you is the top Shaman sitting at healing is pretty much "ok" but Shaman without a lot of aa and a good focus are struggling quite a bit.
This however is not really the case to the same measure for the other healing classes.

How to improve that middle of the road?
better itemization of healing focuses above that of Improved Healing.
Maybe allow healing adept to boost the base of HoT spells as well or even a new aa for that *shrug*
Possibly bring out HoTs back up to Cleric level where they started even.
Not really 100% sure but there is defiantely too big a desparity at 300 or less aa with a 20% focus vs. 1000+ with a 40-45% focus

The only other thing we lack is an "oh shit" response spell/aa for healing.
Pretty much think my healing at max aa and a 40% focus is genrally ok other than the lack of an emergency response.

The MGB charts don't really need to extend below 59 since that is the minimum level to get the AA. Also there seem to be some intermediate cleric buffs missing/incorrect (I've been leveling up a cleric alt recently). scales up 20 hps per level so that it is 525 hps by level 50. And is missing from the MGB chart. Not that either of these things changes the discrepency in hp buff power, but its always good to have complete data.
The chart also highlights why I wish the hp potions were symbols .
