Sham/SK duo vs Mage/Cleric

Neither, I'd go with mage/shaman. Mage pet can tank, mage can DPS, shaman can slow/debuff/buff/heal/DoT.

Got the same response on the mage board hehe. Clearing that up real quick. Mage is on Firiona Vie so there is no way possible I can server x-fer him to be with the shaman ever. Now which duo should I go with hehe.

I am considering running a 3rd account. I like a lot of people don't have enough time to get in a good guild nor to sit LFG all day long.

So here is my delima ...

Account 1 has 65 epic cleric, 66 Shaman, 55 necro
Account 2 has 60 warrior, 56 chanter, 51 pally, 52 monk, 51 rogue, 40 mage, 27 necro
Account 3 ....

At this point OOW gear sounds good to me .. I only dream about all these place that you guys go. I am still looking for spots in DoN and DoD that I can solo/duo but its tough weeding through post and actually figuring out if the toons are uber geared or doable by me =) So for now I would look for ornate drops or OOW gear ... maybe I can find some doable MM for the drops. I heard HHK is super cool =)

I love reading about all these combos and its tough deciding which is best or would work well with what I do. It seems that plate tanks are very popular but really dependant on gear which I must acknowledge will never get =( so my favorite toon Fredd Cruger (warrior) who can't pay to get in a group will have to be put on the back burner. I have considered character moving my cleric or shaman to the new account but really don't want to spend even more money. Either way account 1 has the priest spot covered which ever it maybe. Account 2 well I seem to have a lot of options this is where the tough question comes ... Pally's seem very safe but sk's seem more popular .. but both are gear dependant. Maybe the necro or mage would be a good choice? I know the power of necros which seem pretty impressive so it seems that a necro will be somewhere in the equasion.

So it comes down to 3 things - healing - slowing - dps .. does that about cover it? hehe ... snaring .. tanking ... CC .. omg nm :^ )

yeah .. think its either gonna be that or Cleric Shaman(do-over) and necro .. im a big believer in healing POWA! My main for 4 years was my cleric and I foolishly? made my shaman on that account. What do you think about cleric vs mage .. I really might be jaded by the cleric .. but I really dont like my shaman's healing power. Would rather have her focused on controlling everything because shaman rule all. A mage pet does sound appealing and the dps might be huge factor.

haha I still haven't told my wife I am getting another account ... might put her over the top =)

Yeah Shaman rule ... think the healing is a bit weak compared to druids and clerics but then again they are really weak when you compare them to a shaman.

Same here, I'm actually working on the same combo for myself. Sk is up to 56 so far.

Given the options that you outlined sk would make a good combo with your shaman, however I'm going to suggest berserker anyway. Much better dps and can tank decently with aas/gear.

Well I have been PL'ing with my 65 cleric. They get a nice 34 point DS that they cast on the mob. When they hit my toons they take a hit. On my other account I have a 51 druid so I can get that DS 24 point as well. I have brought the NEC into the mix so no more druid DS. I guess I am not trying to go for a speed record because I want all this skills to go up. I'm sure the panther method is pretty sweet but I would rather take the time and get the crap beat out of him because those defense points come slowly. I have swapped out 2hs/1hs/2hb/1hb each lvl trying to keep everything pretty close. I am not sold on the sk/shm/nec trio ..

I totally notice that 1 toon becomes a robot so I have considered working my mage instead of my necro. To play a necro it seems that they need to be more active while a mage not so much. BUT then again the necro might be nice if I just want to aggro kite some stuff. It seems that if you add a necro into the mix he will become the master of puppets. I think my current setup should be ok for now but as I main the SK the necro is back seat of just snaring and send pet.

About the idea of a ranger .. I think that would make a good outside dps toon but they seem more expensive .. tracking would be a nice bonus. DPS-wise Ranger=mage=necro?

Warrior with panther is pretty nice dps, as well as hitting the dog with it. I dunno how much better that is tho then a shaman and sk, with sk pet all panthered.... But as for being better then a Sham Nec War trio, you will get a ton more dps outta that then with a cleric in the grp. Downside is will cost you EEs to rez with the nec, but sometimes you can find those in Baz for cheap. Like i said before go with the Shaman/Nec/Warrior trio, nec pulling isnt too hard, and you will still have the ability to pet pull.
