4 Aug:

Theme Selection: Now allowing users to select either the purplish (ezSerenity) or silverish (subSilver) themes; ezSerenity is the default, and is what unregistered visitors will see.

Magelo Link: Changed "Website" to "Magelo Link"; please update this field in your profile, as the linking button and tooltip now indicates that it is your magelo link. Also created a stand-out button graphic for both the ezSerenity and subSilver themes.

Quick Reply: Added mod to allow users to post a quick reply without having to go to the more involved "Post a reply" page.

Show/Block Avatars/Signatures: Messed up this install, will retry it later on.

Server Name: Changed Location field to Server.


Show/Block Avatars/Signatures: Woot! Found another mod, allowing each user to elect to show or hide avatars, and to show, hide, or show text-only versions of signatures!


Who Posted: The number of posts (in forums) or replies (in topics) is now a link which shows who made how many posts/replies in that forum/topic.


Please make any updates to these settings that you deem necessary.

8 Aug, later on:

Widened quick reply text box, full reply text box, and new topic text box: no more two inch wide text entry areas!

Added member ranks to the memberlist view, and colored althernating rows: just because.

Also darkened up the link text for more contrast against the non-white background.

Also fixed typo preventing new users from registering!

Post is Sending: Changed "Submit" button to "Sending" to confirm click of Submit button, and to prevent accidental double posts.

Highlight Topic User Posted In: In Forum View, the title of any topic that you have posted in should be showing in this lovely color to let you know that you have posted in that topic. This includes topics that you have started.

Bored with the downtime on a work-from-home day ( ), I edited profiles for everyone with 10 or more posts, and coded in their magelos and servers whose info was easily discernable from their posts. Feel free to go back and edit your profile if you don't like it.

Somewhat annoyed with people not somehow magically being aware of the wealth of content available at samanna.net, I hacked the php code and included the same navigation code I use there in the header file here.

Added Cement mod to allow prioritzation of Announcements, of Stickies, and of Posts (within each area) independant of last post date.

Created Class Issues Polls area and individual polls for each of our current Top Ten.

Added detail about 'of whom ## have actually posted' in info at bottom of index.

Added Rank Images for some postcount-based ranks. If you have a custom rank, no image for you! Presently, only Scowls has enough posts to get one and no custom rank.

My buddy who hosts my domains updated the forum version from 2.0.17 to 2.0.18. Unfortunately, he overwrote some of the .17 files with vanilla .18 files, undoing some of the mods I put in. I'm going to sort through it and figure out what needs to be reapplied.

I'm going to manually revert the .18 files to .17 saves I have, and then Tony will manually apply the .18 upgrades, so that all the mods are saved, rather than me re-searching phpbb.com and phpbbhacks.com to try and remember/find each of the mods I've applied.

Mid Feb:

Broke out section of AA page as its own page, calculating per-AA returns for progressive AAs.

Revised Menus a bit. It's been stated (and I agree) that there's no way to keep up with the automated item collection databases. However, I feel like there's a niche to be filled in listing one-groupable loots, so I've put all of the offsite links onto one page, revised that list, and moved the one-groupable loot for visible slots pages to their own directory, under the fourth pulldown menu. I anticipate this growing as loots from PoR missions become known.

As always, suggestions are welcome, either via PM or a comment somewhere. I read just about every post here.

Looking into a phpBB 3.0 migration, which would give a lot of flexibility as to what forums were expanded or collapsed based on individual or group settings, but that would lose all the mods I've added to date.

I have been trying to get the Vanguard Shaman community to come over here, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen... at least for now.

Oh, the L80 Focus Charts are finally done, with all input.

Please let me know if I've overlooked your submission/correction. January was very busy for me (and some of February, too).
