I think I didn't do too badly. My writeup is at
http://crucible.samanna.net/viewtopic.php?t=908 but I'll paste answers in context here as well:
Quests: Vahlar, Oshran:
When will the BiC drop rate from Txevu bosses be addressed?
Back at the hotel I asked Oshran about BiC drops from GoD bosses, but he politely passed me to Prathun, explaining that BiC was not under his influence. Prathun confirmed that GoD bosses could drop zero to three BiC pieces per kill, and that they would be changed to force one per kill and allow up to three, but explained that the DoD release had stopped this fix from making it through QA. He could not give a go-live date, but assured me that it was ready for testing and would be pushed to live soonest.
Missions: Keridon:
On spell quest missions, why the disparity among mob difficulties (weak trash, ironman nameds)?
[Zajeer] agreed to review the risk versus reward for DoD in general.
Why aren’t there more solo missions in DoD (log in, work on part of mission for an hour, log out)?
I asked [Maddoc] about solo mission content in DoD, and was reminded that EQ is a social, group-centric game. He also said that the overhead for instancing was the same for one toon or 50, and that it was impractical to use those resources on a single character.
Spells: Rytan:
When all non-trash mobs are slowed 75% (mitigated) within seconds of being in camp anyway, what good, really, are these new lesser slows (proc, infection)? What situations did you envision them being useful in, when all raiding guilds have a corps of TA-wielding Shamans? (I paraphrased when I asked him)
He said that the proc was intended to be used as a pre-slow (not unlike Bards pulling with their slow) rather than replacement for our '75%' slows, to help with bounced slows as well as the Shaman getting agro; he also said that the cone spell was definitely intended to be situational, but didn't mention which situations they were planned for.
Why were the disease DoTs made less effective for soloing, and yet no more effective for raiding or grouping, where mob lifespan dictates use of curses/poison/rains?
When I asked him about the reduced efficiency of Disease DoTs, he seemed amused, stated that the changes put more damage in less time to help soloer and grouper alike, and suggested that we spend more time playing the game, and less time fretting about an extremely minor reduction in efficiency.
Upgrade to Malos line?
Rytan said no to any upgrade to the Malos line, even a new Malos spell with shorter recast; he explained that the debuffs were all balanced against one another, and were appropriate for the current game. In hindsight, I think he meant across classes as well as just within the Shaman lineup.
Upgrade to group movement line?
he said that while he would not entertain giving us a 65% group movement buff, he would take a look at giving us a no-lev, 60% group movement buff that would block / be blocked by the Eagle line, and that while this would likely not have a +Attack component (see above), it could include vision buffs.
Correct group haste to 60% - when, or why not?
He said that he was willing to take a look at a group 60% haste for us.
Upgrade to combat effects modifiers spells (might/champion)?
He also said no to Spirit of Might stacking with or otherwise complimenting Champion, or changing what it affected.
Upgrade to Bearform line as competition to slot 4: +HP line of spells – under consideration?
He said that he would consider an upgrade to our Bear Form line, but that if implemented, such a spell would not contain a Brells-like +HP buff.
AAs: Rashere:
Ancestral Guard: reward for investment is awful; when we need it, the 5k just evaporates. Please remove the cap and have it be three tics of mitigation to whatever comes in during those three tics. Alternately, have AG memblur the Shaman off the hate lists when it elapses.
his only comment was 'no' to any memblur; silence on the rest;
Alchemy and Forage is a sore spot for many Shamans, due to the many recipes that require foraged items. Do you forsee an AA in the future to allow foraging for Shamans regardless of race? It needn’t be a very high skill, but just the possibility for a Shaman to gather his own ingredients? Please no doublespeak about infringing on the abilities of another class, we’ve had plenty of experience with that ourselves.
he made a vague statement about 'component acquisition' being looked at;
Cannibalization was perfectly balanced for Luclin. Fast-forward a few years and many expansions; mana and hp pools have more than doubled. When can we expect hastened canni, bigger canni, or a sliding % canni?
no comment;
Virulent Paralysis is a great AA for single-target CC. Can we get AAs to shorten refresh and/or extend duration to allow CC of a second mob? Because really, when it rains, it pours.
he said something was possible;
What’s with the last few expansions: 5 AAs for one half of one percent of melee
mitigation or avoidance? What was an even .83 % per AA spent from Luclin to PoP got castrated to a 0.1 % per AA with Omens and Darkhollow – why?
no comment
Graphics: Nome:
Update to Bear Form graphics – please? Maybe LDoN or PoStorms graphics?
I moved to Rashere, and asked about an upgrade to bearform graphics, which he indicated were under development;
Tradeskills: Maddoc:
Swamp Vine: crazy hard to get, please address availability, or permit another ingredient in its place.
he merely rolled his eyes
General: who can answer?
One bag,
1000 javelins or 100 potions. WTF?
I made my way to Zajeer, and asked about javelin versus potion stackability; he explained that stackability was related to intended rate of consumption, and mentioned that item stacking in general was being reviewed.
Shamans make throwable concoctions;
will we ever learn to throw them?
Maddoc explained that they were coded to proc nearly 100% of the time, and we should have limited ability to throw them. I logged in and could not find Throwing under my skills list, although I was able (obviously) to map the ranged attack ability.
Level 70
Detrimental Duration Extension Augments – did that page get stuck in the printer? We had this at 65 with LDoN, and there are currently FIVE L70 Bene Dur Ext Augs. Items with this effect are a downgrade for many players, why can’t we find it on an augment?
I ambled over to Zajeer, and asked him about Detrimental Duration Extension Focus itemization and the possibility of augments of this nature. He stated that the current itemization was intended to require equipment choices and tradeoffs by the players, but that he would review the availability of seed effects.
