Don't be an Iksar, lots of twink gear is unwearable as an iksar - the plate thing. The frontal stun immunity on Ogre is an awesome ability. The regen on iksar is meaningless at 60+ IMO compared to spells you are casting.

he has a ogre Sk tanking for him, why not go for regen....and regen makes a ton of differnece at low and high end. mid range stats are mostly what you need, but regen ALWAYS helps

Well, iksar's can't wear totemic or jaundiced bone, but I don't think there's much else they can't wear, it was a bigger deal back in the day. There's not a lot of call for either of those any more. Most of the JB stuff is buffs that you get anyway, the only things you might miss are the bracer (that clicky nuke is handy 45-60ish) and the BP (self only AC+DS buff).

Also, while anyone can do the cudgel quest, iksars get the headstart on faction, that saves a lot of hassle. Overall, I think that probably compensates for the plate type armour thing.
