The horse is only dead because Sony shot it in the head and is hiding the body so we cant rez it.....
IE They are unwiling to communicate with us or heck even each other it seems because this has been bouncing back and forth between Rytan and Zajeer with neither of them willing to budge an inch.

I dare you to TRY to get a reasonable explaination from them regarding the recast times and durations on the new slows which is what makes the TA such a wanted tool. It is impossible because there is absolutely no valid reason for it.

Frankly I would bag my TA if Discord for example had 1.5 cast and 2.25 recast along with 6.5 minute extendable duration and so would pretty much everybody else.

Then the only time you would really need TA is when your out of mana.
Then it would become EXACTLY what they have told use they intended.
A useful but not required tool.

Discord "should" look like this if they want it to compete with TA:

The only other viable balance would be to add a recast time to TA therefore rendering it completely useless.
I dont think the community would accept that if they tried it

I had 1.5 months before I got TA. After comparing the stats on the two I kept TA bagged for situational use. But the more I used it and got used to it...

1.5 now sits in first inventory slot for hotkey click, TA now equipped for everything except for the rare occasions I wade in and melee.

Until you get one and get used to using it... i.e. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.

PS. Can you imagine being a mob and some guy jumps into the fray and starts flailing around wildly with a cat's head as his weapon? Uber effect: Paralyzing Laughter.
