Originally posted in a now locked thread, but it is such a brilliantly simple idea curing a problem for my seemingly alseimer (that how you spell that? I can't remember) infested brain, that I had to pull it out and post it.

A nice tip for autojoins:
Rather than typing in your /autojoin line on the chatbar, make a social key with your /autojoin list. That way when it comes time to change the channels you autojoin, just edit the social, and then push the button. It's alot easier than trying to remember all of your channels and passwords, and faster than looking it up in an .ini file.

Yeah, I've been doing that for about three years. The best part is that you delete the 'auto' part, save, /leave 1 ten times, and hit the button. That way, you can tell if it works. Then you put the 'auto' back in, save, hit it once more, and you're golden. This way, color/window assignments stay the same. And for me, /10 is now crucible chat instead of correspondants ghosttown.

"/leaveall" gets you out of all channels.
"/chat set [channel:pword, channel:pword, et al]" leaves all channels you're in and joins the new list in order.

This was back in 2002-2003 so might have been a different thing. WHo knows, i see no reason to use autojoin and like being vehemently against things for silly reasons (like evil umbrellas!)

i always thought that didnt work and just needed to give it a blank channle to join i.e. "/autojoin 1"

or go to eqclient.ini to delete the line completly

It worked for me when last I used it. No idea how long ago.
