The Journey Stones

An interconnected network of one-way portals that criss-cross the world, the Journey Stones consist of Dolmens (known as "Send Stones") and Menhirs (commonly referred to as "End Stones.") Originally, the portal network also included several Henges allowing for two-way and even interworld travel, all existing greater pathways were sundered at the time of The Shattering, along with general knowledge of how to reconnect them or establish new pathways.

While traditionally Send Stones are considered neutral ground, a great many arrival points are located within disputed territories, and travelers are well advised to be prepared for the presence of potentially hostile individuals while utilizing such pathways.

General Operation

To utilize a journey stone, one need only travel beneath the capstone of a Dolmen at Dusk or Dawn, arriving nearly instantaneously at the connected Menhir. Attempting to utilize a journey stone at another time of day is strongly discouraged, and often ends in tragedy for those involved, as the departure point will not be securely fixed at these times.
