Duel tips needed

Hello,

I never duelled before, and would like to have some tips to defeat some guildies, and in arena.

Can I have any hope on landing dots after malis or only sting?

I think of dispelling them, DS me, melee them to death if I cannot land anything more than Sting?

Any suggestion?

best bet is to wait for the next expansion and hope for shaman spells to be messed up like when we could "buff" the tank and they took 8k hits from dogdog, or shadowknights gated mobs with panther.

One thing I found very useful was the philter of minor translocation potions. For whatever reason I was able to channel this potion easily which in turn allowed me to get off other spells and/or switch out spell.

Very handy...
