EQPlayers Leaderboard - HP/Mana vs. Mana/HP...

I'd like to see the default leader board sort for Shaman on EQPlayers be changed from Mana/HP to HP/Mana. I think that the community as a whole would agree that Higher HP vs. Mana would more accurately reflect the top Shaman in the game/server. Please chime in here if you think I'm wrong. Just be prepared for some Druman flak.

I know this is probably pretty low on everyone's list of important stuff, but it's been annoying to me for quite some time. I'm also pretty sure that the folks managing EQPlayers are distinct from the devs that work on class balance, new content, etc. so fixing it really shouldn't be a resource issue. As for the fix, it's probably a pretty minor piece of web code, so shouldn't be a big deal really.

At the same time we need to impress upon merloc that a shaman would MUCH rather something be 470hp 450 mana than 450hp 470 mana, and the like. With class specific gear it should be tailored to what stats that class needs most... not what all the other classes in that 'category' of caster prefer, shaman arent like other casters.

The numbers very much disagree with you, since hp converts to mana regen at that ratio, but mana only converts to mana regen at 3%/tick, and that's only when in OOC mode, not when fighting.

What does the average shaman go for, HP or Mana? The average shaman will want HP over mana. Mana is never a thing i think about when looking at gear, HP is always something that is included in the decision. Sure i have a pretty good amount of mana now, but its by zero intention, it almost annoys me that unbuffed i have more HP than mana

Zinovy, if I can do so without being rude, I'd like to direct you to the button at the bottom of your posts. (I've linked yours there) You're probably very familiar with that one, but now allow me to contrast it with the one at the bottom of my posts...

The difference is subtle, do you see it? One of the links leads to the profile of a Solteris-raiding shm with a little over 16k mana, and the other one leads to the profile of a Solteris-raiding shm with ... a 650 deeper mana pool than the first one. Careful with that e-penis, sir, it might not swing as far as you think.

Moving on, though, to hypocrisy! Time to count the augments, and see how many mana > hp choices you've made, Zinovy! Adding up both sides, there is... some_amount mana, and some_amount+65 hp ... yay for your philosophy of mana>hp balance!

What you've looted is far from bad. I don't think you're a bad shaman. But this thing you have about mana pool is just a self-deceiving head game, dude. It's neither how you should play, nor how you really do play.
