bah............careful?? how lame is that for an excuse?? giving the highest end raiders something to give another 20% healing on a HoT will be anything but gamebreaking. the guild i am in has yet to beat vish, so guess how effective the gear from CoA is at making my spells "overpowered"?? take our very best HoT, add every possible extension possible, and add another 20% to the total that is healed every tick and go tank one trash mob in solteris or the puddles in tbs otw to missions 7 & 8. /return to bind....
the added healing would be great for those times when our slows get resisted again, and again, and again....etc. when we help a druid on healing or when there is an ugly ae that is chewing up our group, but how can healing another 160 hp per tick "unbalance" us? or a single target extra 250ish hp a tick make a tank "too uber" when a mob hits for 4k?
if the powers that be are afraid of what we would do with all that "unbalanced healing"they need to stop hanging out in mpg, grrrr. or maybe they are afraid to make our best regen heal for 90 instead of 75, or crit for 180 not 150?
i understand the fear of causing a certain class to be too uber so as to make other classes pale in comparison, but the name of the game is EVERquest, right? maybe they SHOULD craft our spells a little lower at the base, but allow the mods to make them much sweeter? like our damage focus mods do. then it behooves people to work even harder on progress, imo.
sure, i have been mainhealer on several katta missions but it sure wasn't my HoT that was why we succeeded. ANYWAY, i would like the ability to have our heal focus work on our HoT spells, just as a convenience to save a little downtime on those oops pulls, where everyone needed some healing on a messy fight. it wouldn't save a wipe, but it MIGHT save one rez and less OOC medding to go again from the mainhealer patching so much.
