My thoughts are that I'm still miffed over Gates and TSS regarding pet AAs.
In the beta for Gates of Discord we were going to get Fury of the Ancients, which would allow our wolf to crit (and our swarm pets as well). Rabid Companion (which still lurks on Lucy) was also swiped away from us, it would have given a small DD proc buff in the same vein as the beastlord AAs.
At the last minute they were yanked and we had quickened curing and resplendant cure substituted - great for raiders, naff all use to soloers and groupers. To add insult to injury, another secondary pet class (SKs) kept their pet crit AAs on release.
In TSS clerics, druids and wizards received upgrades to their pet AAs. I tried pushing for an upgrade to Spirit Call (as after all they're now L60 wolves, a far cry from the relative power they had in Gates when the cap was 65). However, we didn't receive anything.
As clerics have developed extra melee prowess over the past few expansions, via AAs, I feel an upgrade to our pet's power via AA would be a reasonable idea - after all, we're the only priest class with a decent pet. Some pet DPS AAs or (better yet) pet melee avoidance AAs would turn something that's a novelty at the high end into something that's genuinely useful.
As a distinctly non high end player, I keep my wolf up as an extra panther target, if nothing else and any extra boosts to survivability or DPS would be most welcome.
