I use Idol of Malos on raids. It's extremely helpful all the way from Circle of Drakes up to the final three encounters of Deathknell. I also use GRB without wasting effort to reshrink when shit hits the fan. I also sic Advanced Spirit Call on Sanguimanus, and click the bear traps on Hatchet when others are being slow. I parse out Panther procs and occasionally break the top 10 for damage. SR has an officer with the surname "Fubrohg". Oh yeah, who wears the red jacket? I wear the red jacket. Screw the man, if Idol is going to be helpful, use it. If you get kicked for it, find a guild with a collective mind more open to tools that will help them progress.

It's not group "spells" that are based on 3x the cost, it's group buffs. Panther, group or not, isn't and never was a buff spell. It's a dot spell channelled through others for peripheral gains in agro management and resistability. Talisman of Panther is not to Spirit of Panther as Talisman of Wunshi is to Wunshi's Focussing. Instead, Talisman of Panther is to Spirit of Panther as Circle of Fire is to Chaos Flame.

On raids my group is usually:

Shaman (me)
Zerker
Bard
Rogue
Ranger
Bst+Pet

And we all ahve our 2.0's or aura's. ggroup is already putting out very nice dps. Popping group panther instead of target 2, cast, target 3, cast etc... is going to very nice so I can actually do ..other things...if I want to.

5 targets * 70dps is an additional 350dps and thats if they dont crit it a bunch, which they do.

Melee love panther, if I can hit all of them at once when Raidleader calls for a full burn? groovy

If you have to insist on a "perfect" group then it's not a good spell. Sometimes we get a perfect group for Panther but often not. There is no way it should be balanced around 5 targets! Get a grip folks, an extra 400 dps per tick is NOTHING in this game at high levels. I watched a monk against a test dummy on Beta doing 2.6k to 2.9k DPS with full raid buffs. We are getting nerfed on mana and duration on this thing to keep our dps abysmally low. I might use if for convenience but it is an actual reduction in dps in most cases.
