I'd like to throw in here that none of us think that shaman without clicky slow are bad shaman. We've all spent at least 65 levels and 200+AA as shaman without it, and we sure don't think that WE sucked then. Furthermore, I don't think our interest in addressing this should be seen as selfish, any more than the outcry over Nihil.
In the case of that spell , characters that were well past Sewers & Vxed (like, level 70s doing Anguish) had to go back and engage in bottom feeding in order to perform their core class functions. Observe, it's entirely within the realm of possibility to do Anguish or Tacvi with just Spell:Turgurs Insects. But mobs likely won't be getting slowed until halfway through their hp bars, healing requirements will skyrocket, people will probably die, and shaman won't be able to help, since they're entirely occupied with their slowing. In the case of certain boss mobs (Warden Hanvar, Tacvi trash, some other stuff), without click-slow or Nihil they wouldn't get slowed before dying at all unless someone "rolls a natural 20".
Shaman all have Nihil (Balance, duh) now, and recognise how much it has changed the way a shaman can play, what shaman can do. You weren't incompetent before, but god damn are you miles ahead now. The difference experienced from the day a clicky-slow item is looted is bigger than the difference between Turgur and Balance. The current crusade is to close the gap in capability between having Time's Antithesis and not having it, whether the not-having is based on never getting to loot a TA, or having (wanting) it bagged because you looted something with better stats/resists/hp/mana/mods/foci. The funny reversal is that the fight is starting with the haves instead of the have-nots. Also ironically, the 'nots' (in the person of jdthomas) are resisting it.
