Heck, I can't wait. I'm just gonna make up my list of what I think a botted shammy does compared to a real shammy.
BOTTED:(vs Main)
buffs everyone before battle (ditto for the Main shaman)
keeps Champ up all the time, even if only 2-boxing without group (Main might not keep Champ up all the time)
stops group to rebuff (Main rebuffs during the action)
spot heals (ditto Main)
probably cripples (main probably doesn't cripple)
sometimes main heals, no DPS then (main MH also, but still DPS also)
sits on mount (main not on mount, possibly melees)
sends pup into battle (ditto for main, keeps pup panthered, occasionally pet pulls)
is back with casters (main is on the move in the action)
hardly uses canni spell (main always spamming canni)
mana bar always near 75% to full (main pushes mana bar to 25%)
top duty is to slow (main duties are diverse, debuff/CC/heal/DPS)
engages mob afterwards (main debuffs on incoming, plays very proactively)
one-button push M.O. (main has nonstop serial button pushing, using hotkeys, bandolier, clickies, AAs, etc)
does not do much crowd control (main does quite a bit of CC, grp depends on it)
maybe keeps 1 to 2 panthers up (main spams 1-4 panthers while doing other things)
probably nukes (main more likely to use 2 dots and panthers, may nuke occasionally, or rain)
probably uses zero to 1 dot (main uses 1-3 dots, maybe clicky DOT also)
nothing much outside normal routine other than rebuffing group (main performs a variety of roles)
uses one spellset other than buffs (main constantly using multiple spellsets, swapping during battle)
hardly ever gets hit by mob (grabs mob aggro occasionally, esp during CC)
plays one-dimensionally (main very diverse, saving group from wipes, adding stability and speed to kills)
casts maybe 3-5 spells per battle (mains casting up to 10 times a battle)
BOT spellset:
Malos
BoD
quickheal
HoT/epic
Champ
panther
canni
nuke or cripple
Main spellset(s)-- second choices swapped out often
Malos/MD/PD/Idol
TA/BoD
quickheal/clicky heal
HOT (clicky HOT, Anc Aid, epic, heal potions)

Am I too far off-base here Tugela? Am I a lazy shaman because I rely too much on my TA? Am I totally clueless because I may not even mem BoD? Perhaps I am the one mistaken here, and should tell the rest of the community they are playing their shaman the wrong way, even tho many of them seem to be in agreement on issues such as TA usage...

I typed such a big thread about different cases etc, but honestly none of my advice or comments pretain to you. Go on with your 3 hps augs in my weapons because my aggro is good enough w/o extra procs self.
Anyways.. If your guild is that much past time that their alts wouldn't wear it, that means they can probably pound it out on offtimes pretty easily. Every melee w/o one wants a pestilence shock clicky. I'm sure a lot would come and kill saryn just for that =b just try to entice em as much as you can.

A high end Cleric or Druid won't get 1 rounded by a 10k damage, one day shaman can say the same =/
