because comparing the healing capability of a shaman and a druid are drastically different? sure i can lay out tons of hots, can canni that mana back in a short amount of time. works for alot of events with ae dots/DD. but in a situation where a large DD or ramp is going off, a shaman probably will have 1-2 dead people, where the druid wouldnt (2 unstable zombies in camp in DS, 1 goes off, you cast a hot, click epic, heal 1-2 folks and BOOM, 2 dead rogues. a druid would have probably casted a group blast heal and they could have all lived). the difference between shamans and druids healing is so different the only way you can compare them is to change the situation, which pretty much makes any comparision null. druids heal better in certain situations than shaman, shaman heal better in certain situations than druids. its a no-brainer, everyone knows it.
as for might/talisman of might, its a spell i rarely if ever cast. in raids, the melee dps groups have a shaman (2-3 shaman most nights), those groups have champ. while were buffing up the scattered dps melee that are left and have buff slots to burn are asking druids for lions...they realized shaman are already doing alot of buffs and druids have 1, only makes sense, and that the shaman will always cast a group buff during prebuffing, and end up seeing it clicked off of any casters in the group he just hit. might is a waste of time, let the druids take up the slack during raids. if your just grouping, everyone has champ, theres no reason to cast might or lions at all.
