Thanx for all the info guys. I'm half way too 61 now and that new dog dog to help me when solo'ing while lfg. Gonna get aa canni and head up in lvl's.

Levels are more important than AA but if you start getting bored along the way it won't kill you to pause here and there and have some fun (If you consider getting AA to be fun).

btw Spell Casting Reinforcement and Spell Casting Reinforcement Mastery make Quiescence last longer which is a big deal IMO and they make Spirit of the Leopard/Panther last longer and that is pretty darn cool too.

Obviously canni 5 is the main thing though.

Canni5 is fun... but you get about the same benefit from SCM3. I'd say get both and get the ornate boots. Level 66 doesn't have much in terms of spells... but 67 and 68 are nice power upgrades.. and 69 and 70 are group buff spells.

If I were in your shoes... I'd say get cani5, SCM3, get 67, get acestrial aid, and get 70.

In chaincasting high level spells, there's no question that SCM3 is more powerful. Consider Ancient:Wilslik's Mending that costs 723 mana. SCM3 saves 72 mana on every cast, needing only 14 casts in 3 minutes to beat Cannibalization for effective stretching of your mana. In heavy AE fights or scenarios with wild adds, I'll easily double that number of healing spells in three minutes, besides mixing in Balances, Serenities, etc. There are even rare times when hitting canni is a risky proposition, but SCM3 always works without tradeoff.

Most exp groups, though, and indeed most raids, Canni probably beats the pants off've SCM3. Practically speaking, you're just not going to be chaincasting your most expensive spells constantly. The value of constant effects when faced with real-world scenarios including downtime was well explored in the Panther threads, so I won't rehash here. Also worth saying (though it should be obvious) is the fact that SCM3 power scales down with the cost of the spells you're using, while Cannibalization stays constant. Canni works even when you're not casting any spells at all.

Both are excellent, the strongest core enhancements to caster power there are. Both should be had within the first 35 AA a shaman gets. But Canni should be in the first 23.

Grokii- I wasn't being sarcastic, I've just never heard the two compared that way and I would respectfully disagree. CannV > SCM3 in my book. For the reasons stated above. I do agree with you Brohg, SCM3 should be your next 12 AA's spent.

See? I read a lot of comment's like Ungkor. You're entitled to your opinion, but I'm just trying to stress how nice SCM3 is. With canni5 and MGB you're still going to have a crap time being the only shaman in a raid of 4+ groups. Now, add SCM3 and your buff time is reduced a lot... because your spam casting high cost spells.

To a lesser extent it helps in the group setting as well depending on your playstyle. I get bored if I'm not in a chain pull situation and always pushing myself to the edge. In this case, SCM3 is a lot more attracitve then grouping where the pulls are slow and your doing bursts of casting instead of continual casting like chain pulls.

Get what AAs you want... but know that in general you'll get more power from levels then AAs and that SCM3 is a close second to Canni5 in terms of having mana to cast everything you want.

Wunshi's Focussing sorta makes Fo7 obsolete anyhow. Once you have it, no one you group with will want the lower buff ever again. With how much easier 66-68 spells are to get than 65s, I don't think stopping at 65 is really the thing to do. Then, of course, if one is 68, stopping there looks bad cause you can't zone into RSS, which is huge as a source of runes, gear, augments, and mad exp. And then you're 69, and looking at 70, where you can get Call of the Wild and "that other AA"

Advancement is so steady from the mid-60s, with power gains really attractive (as opposed to just good like they always were) at each ding. 62 is the right spot for Cannibalization, in my opinion, since there isn't an attractive place to sit without levelling after that.
