I did it with enchanter and paladin, and after first messy encounter we just stayed close enough, so it would never run out of paladins melee range, no matter who got agro...

I solo'd them for the most part. Pulled with MD and VP'd (on the flat to avoid the warping issues where possible). Start loading dots, with dog dog parked as a strategic reserve. If it didn't summon, an easy win. If it did, start tanking and send in the dog as back-up. GRB if needed and don't worry about the root.
