I made it all the way to Anguish before getting anything more then Radient Cure 1. SCRM is a definite one for the buff duration. Avoidance/MitSCS AAs are less of a concern due to better tank aggro. Healing AAs are a definite though.

Rather then the specific, I think a round number is fine as most apps will have the necessary AAs.

Oh, make having done Blood of Nadox a requirement though.

Naxox is a critical spell for shamn on raids. So much stuff is cured by it. Refuse outright any shaman who does not have it.

Time/Ikkinz is 200aa minimum. Qvic+ 300, Anguish+ really should be 500, but most folks go with the more conservative 400. AA are progressively easier and easier to come by, and any progress-oriented guild shouldn't be recruiting people who won't put in the minimal time to advance their own characters. Remember, as a general rule, AA slow down when you join a raiding guild, as many evenings will be taken up with ... raids!

At that level, Time/Ikki, there is little that a shaman really requires I think. My guild does not have any level or AA requirements which lets me observe shamans that have 6k buffed and no AA in time (65+) and, well, they do fine. Serious applicants do aquire some AA and better gear fast of course. MGB is kind of a deteminant if someone really wants to contribute on raids for me. With todays available gear and the speed of AA/exp, anyone with a little dedication can become a valuable asset to your guild quickly. For me (and the guild I am in), the fit of the person behind the keyboard is most important.

If you are looking for someone who will be able to fullfill all roles immediatly, I would expect a level 70 with Nadox and RGC and about 100 AA. Weighting in at 5k hp unbuffed? All resists at 100+? Some of the 66-70 spells are pretty good too, depends on how tight you are on buffage.

Some guilds are big on bots/hydras/boxes... some are not. I see both sides of the argument, really, but I would rather have principle roles (puller, MA, primary debuffers, OT) be main toons.

I recall one guild on one of the startup servers that *required* twoboxing. Anything + an int caster. Deal was, on a startup, decent melee gear was hard to come by. But all you have to do is have levels on any caster to be good damage. So they pwned Vindicator within weeks of release based on one PL'd tank, and like 7 epic wizards (they had no competition for epic spawns, of course).

In the long run, pretty good theory anyhow. My guild for sure is lacking INT classes. We're at 1.5 wizards, 2 necro, 2 magician, and 1+# enchanters, depending on how some current apps work out.
