Just reminded me of the good ole days of EQ where deaths were painful and corpse recoveries even more so (binding in Skyshrine and forgetting ya trashed ya faction in ToV etc etc) ....

Makes a good case for a decent survivability AA!!! We know a druid woulda lived with insta exodus AA, a cleric with BDA AA, etc etc

i'm pretty sure most people have done something like that at least once. i remember binding at that rabbit in PoM, sniffles or snuggles or whatever the hell his name was. no harm in that, because he's non kos, right? well, non kos until someone spawns the big rabbit and then runs away. my connection was so slow at the time that i would die before i even got loaded in. BRILLIANT.

I learned my lesson years ago, 4 or 5, when I was playing my ranger leveling in NK, goddamn grimfeather and the silver griffon killed me at the gypsy camp enough to delevel me 5 levels, and this was when i took me a few months to get to the early 20's.

A while back I 2 boxed my cleric alts epic. When it was time to fight Ragefire I decided to bind me and my mage in the NE corner near her spawn point thinking that it would be saffe and easy enough for me to get back in the fight if something bad happened.

Anyone else know that the NE corner is in agro range of Ragefire? I sure didnt.

Both shaman and mage died with Ragefire at 20%. I was calling out for guild help as fast as my screen was flopping over from zoning both characters. A guild Warrior finally got to me and used his Dathor Great Hammer and repost disk to take her down the rest of the way.

After 70 rezzes for me and 74 for my mage I remembered that I had to be in melee range to get her slowed.

Was this by the Freemind Cipher by chance? with lev/soe on, basilisks and other mobs wont aggro...bound there the day of release...next day I logged in, ran to baz to check on items for my monk twink...unthinkingly clicked gate after purchases, expecting to zone into GL...took 9 deaths to break the loop. Was happening so fast I was down 50% by the time my graphics came up on screen (thank you Grand Wise Poobah beastlord for continuing the cycle, and watching it happen over and over again). Lesson learned
