i have 2 poison mods 65% lvl 75 and 60% lvl 80 and my max poison hit is around 2882 and my guildies are getting hits around 3233 and 3800 ive maxxed out all my dot dmg aa's so im not sure what they are doing to get the extra dmg out of there dots
just wondering if its maybe abilitys from other class's makeing there dots hit for more or something i can do to improve my dmg

I have no idea on focus better than that, I don't have near that much.... But I know there are some Bard songs that will increase DD and DoT damage, so if they have a bard in their grp playing those song(s), that could be 1 difference.

forgot to mention also i had the +dmg type 3 augment from SoF for my highest dmg spell
finaly got responce from a guildie he said he had help from rogue useing a +poison dmg ability
and said he didnt have bard but they also can help and it all stacks up for a nice big dmg boost
other then that seams like im maxxed out on my end for dot dps now to work on DD first step...
i guess getting the spell brownie bite..man that spell still sounds silly to me how hard can
brownies bite really why couldnt they give us a magic nuke strike of the tribunal or somethin

Don't forget the Ldon crit advantage that a lot of players have over newer players. I don'tremember the exact numbers but there is also destructive cascade I think its called.

He means DoN, and that's also crit frequency, not magnitude. Do you have Destructive Cascade?

Hmm, I've seen this DoN crit mentioned in a few places. I think I've also seen 3% tossed around a bit. Is there anyone who can shed some more light on what it is exactly and what you'd have to do to get it today if it's even still possible?

well now ive seen 4233 as high hit from rancor of agony rk 2
913 base from rk 3 +68 from aug = 981
981+65% highest mod from item +33% aura of the artist rk 3 =1942
1942 crit destructive cascade +12% 4468 from rank 3 spells= 4117

986 base from rk 3 +68 from aug = 1054
1054+65% highest mod from item +35% aura of the artist rk 3 2108
2108 crit destructive cascade +12% 4468 from rank 3 spells = 4468

hmm Hitpoints unknown calc: 1022 range: 986 -> 0 on allakazam for rank 3
Hitpoints unknown calc: 1020 range: 913 -> 0 for rank 2

maybe the 1020 and 1022 is max dmg u can get from augments or something before the % mods

well this looks like the right calculation to get to what ive seen as high hit
+68 wouldnt give 1020 to a rank 2 version of rancor of agony
anyone know what would give a bit more dmg boost pre % mods

You got the rare "ghost tick" on your dot. It happens when you land the dot exactly on a tick. Rancor (rk 2 for the numbers I'm using) is a reverse-splurt dot, the longer it goes the more damage it has up front. If the dot will last 8 ticks, then the first one does 913, but if you get the (rare for you) ghost tick, the first will be 933, with all the rest of the dot you're used to seeing following after that. If you used a , you'd always get that 933 leader, and rarely get a 953 tick as well. If you then had a bard singing on top of that, you'd always get the 953 start, and rarely get 973. That's all the in-game duration boosting atm.

So, 933+68=1001+98%=1981*2.25=4457. I suspect you didn't get quite 98% from the two focus effects. One of them was under its limit by a tad.

Inspired by Brohg I ran some tests. Here is the result:
With no focus effects what-so-ever you get the following rancor sequence:
893, 873, 853, 833, 813, 793, 773, 773
I presume if you hit that lucky tick and cast exactly on the server tick - you'll shift to
913, 893, 873, 853, 833, 813, 793, 773
Any duration extension will add to the front!!!
With (35% @77) + + for extended duration and for the added damage I was able to get this sequence:
1041, 1021, 1001, 981, 961, 941, 921, 901, 881, 861, 841, 841

All unfocused criticals came in with 2.25 as Brohg wrote. Does that mean that our Destructive Cascade 3 yields 25%? Or do I miss an effect here. I have all AAs.

With and (70%) that would yield a potential max Dot tick:
973+68=1041+103%=2113*2.25=4754

If you ever hit that super elusive tick spot on you might even get: 4846

Irae Faycite Shard adds to damage, not duration. Bumps up all ticks uniformly.
