I have not stopped casting Panther on my groups and have had zero complaints, for what it's worth. My groups on raids consist only of myself, a bard, and rogues/rangers/zerkers/monks/etc. My exp. groups are the same if I can help it. Some people have said the problem is not that the swing is being reset but is instead the order in which the proc and the swing happen. thread might provide a little more information for you also, as there are logs in that thread and a great deal of discussion.

If you've not got raid weapons it's highly likely that the additional DPS from panther and the additional healing from Lassitude are worth more than the DPS the warrior loses from the swing reset bugs.

Like Tordail I'm still using panther on my groups with zero complaints. And I'd rather ease the healing burden on the healer by using Lassitude: at the group level I'm sure a single Sting per mob does more DPS than is lost from the reset bug.

I no longer keep lassitude or panther up unless the group's tank is a knight.

My take on it:

The DPS loss is related to your swing time. Panther procs 8 times a minute, so you lose 8 rounds. If you use a "slow" weapon you lose proportionaly more of your DPS than if you use a fast weapon, irrespective of the weapon ratios.

If your damage from 1 round is greate than 400 (on average) then you should block panther as it is reducing your average damage.
If your damage from 1 round is less than 400 (on average) then you should not block panther as it is <s>reducing</s> increasing your average damage.

Waring, have you been able to bring this up to any developers? Have you gotten any feedback at all?

It's not a beta issue, so it wouldnt be covered by the NDA even if it were discussed on the beta boards.

Not using lassitude because of the dps issue is overkill IMO, particulary if you are using it primarily as a healing spell. There is no reason not to have it on your puller for example, and in the situation where you have multiple mobs on your tank (where the problems are most severe), helping the MT survive probably outweighs the dps loss. It doesnt affect the dps from the rest of the group. They can allways click it off once everything is slowed if it becomes a problem after that point. Keep in mind that the spell has allways had the problem and people used it quite happily until the issue became more widely known.
