Spell haste and Quick Buff

I have a spell haste 5 item (DoN , 15% haste), quick buff 2, and a which is 18% haste on detrimental spells.

If I buy quick buff 3, I will not need the DoN AUG anymore, because I will be on max spell haste (50%) for beneficial, and I shall use my necklace focus of 18% which is better than the DoN 15% on detrimental, isn't it ? The only bad thing is that I shall lose my spell haste on yoppa's mending, and that is quite bad... Better keep my DoN AUG then.

QB3 is only 5% improvement on buff, but that includes panther, champion, and spiritual serenity, so may be worth it.

I was not able to find quick buff on Lucy, I know it works only on buffs, is there any casting time limit (spell haste works only on spells with casting time >= 3 s) ?

Quick Buff does not work on any of the 3 second cast time items. Spell Haste does however. I don't know why, just the way it seems to be coded, may be something we can get fixed however, as it does not say it in its description, and we just recently got enough buffs in that range to get it changed.

EDIT: Primal Essence is 5.0 seconds, and QB does affect that. Voice of the Berserker is 1.0, and neither QB or SHV affect it.

As such SHV works on spells down to 3.00 seconds. Lucy doesn't have a listing for innate ability AAs like Quick Buff, so I have no clue how low it goes, but it is as low as 5.0 seconds, and higher than 3.0

EDIT 2: Acumen of Dar Khura = 4.0 seconds, QB does not affect it. So, new conclusion 4.0>QB>3.0

Add in Spell Haste, and Yoppa's is down to 2.6s cast time. In a way, the shammy issue asking for a larger, quicker blast heal is nowadays a non-issue.

Dohria should be able to get Yoppa's down to 2.4s cast time with his Hammer and cleric spell haste up.

If you have the best beneficial spell hate, if you have cleric spell haste, if you have the right clicky spell haste from the CBQ - I don't believe spells should be balanced around items or the availability of other classes.

QB still reduces casting time of your HoTs. and thats our bread and butter while healing. 6 seconds for a heal over time, that might not tick for 6 seconds. i trained it long ago, maxed it out like i did all aa before moving on and have never regreted it at all, in fact atm i have very few if any spell haste worn (1 lonely spell haste 5 aug), and can still main heal rss groups effectively, because the key to our healing has always been, cast HoT, cast spots as needed

Honestly, even 2.6 seconds is far too long for my tastes. I have had MANY tanks drop in that time on me because I didn't start to cast until it was apparent that the cleric was out of tricks and needed the assist.

Personally, I would sacrafice a spellgem for a 1 second casttime 1K heal, even though I normally don't have ANY free gem slots since I like to keep both Balances loaded when grouped.
