I find having both irritating, tbh... I have some spells (mostly heal) 70 or under that trigger Gift of Mana and some 71+ that trigger Gift of Radiant Mana. Radiant one works on any spells, but GoM only works on spells 70 or lower...

I just find it a little irritating that if i have old style GoM, I have to pick an older spell to use it. I would prefer that once you spend the AA to update the ability, it's updated once and for all and anything triggers it and can be spent on anything.... I hardly think that's game breaking.

There's a misconception here.

Gift of Radiant Mana will only -proc- from casting a 71+ spell.

Gift of Radiant Mana will allow you to CAST -any- spell for 1 mana, regardless of level. You can still use GoRM procs to get a free Champion or whatever.

The problem arises when you don't get a damage spell line that you mem upgraded... such as the case for enchanters and shamans. Where you cast Mind Shatter (Nectar of Pain) and get an 'old school' Gift of Mana Proc. Then you look at your lineup and realize that the only sub 70 spells you have memmed are the DoT that you -just- -cast- and slow... which if you're anything like me, you cast -before- you cast the DoT. (I actually have a 3rd sub 70 spell memmed. It's my mana tap over time and costs me 5 mana to cast, so not the best expenditure of a GoM proc) So all you can do is slow another mob if you have one handy, or...recast the DoT that just procced GoM (Which has some, but fairly minimal utility for both Mind Shatter and NoP. At least you guys can burn it on champ. About all I've been able to come up with was quickly memming my aura and trying to cancel/refresh it before GoM fades.

I'm looking a which AA's I want to buy next and was looking at GoRM. It sure would have been nice if they coded it to look at the ratio of the spell that generates the proc to the spell that uses the proc. 65 divided by 75 is about 86 percent. Seems like they could have done something with that like the level 75 spell costs 14 percent of what it would have without the level 65 GoM proc. Maybe they can't store the level of the spell that triggered the GoM proc though they do have the different buffs that get put in the buff box. I wouldn't argue if the calculation used 5 level increments (i.e 65/75 isn't much less than 66/75.)

A bit off topic, but i saw someone mentioning gom proc from canni bug. There's a new cool bug now that procs Abundant healing on your target when you canni ;p

It's just not that hard guys. You're either making it way harder than it has to be or you're just complaining to be complaining. Yes, I occasionally miss out on getting any big benefit from the old GoM or I recast a dot that I might not have to recast (Nectar of Pain) or I refresh Champion before it really needed to be refreshed just to use it, but so what? I have audio files set up that tell me, IN WORDS, if it's Gift of Mana or Gift of Radiant Mana. I don't even have to look. My computer tells me, in plain english (or spanish, german or french if you are so inclined) which one has gone off.

This is a minor annoyance, nothing more, once you have the audio file set up and most of the time it's a complete non-issue.
