Extra gear and buffs on pup might help him to survive long enough to go into enrage mode. If ever you see pup hanging on for dear life at like 4% health, STEP UP to the mob he's fighting QUICKLY. If you're lucky, mob will swing at you and pet will survive being terminated.

And nice trick with Auras, Scowls. Might remember to use that someday.

The spell lines introduced in DoD for shaman were all new ideas for us.
Cone AoE Nuke, Slow Proc on being hit, Virus Slow. Of those only the Slow Proc (lingering sloth) has any meaning - the others are all a pile of poo.

NoP - dot with debuff (new for shaman), group hoT (new as a spell rather than epic click/aa click) and the AoE malos - which with it's given implimentation is a pita (aggro + targeting)
