Should I buy Runes or wait for them to drop in a group?

I had no problem buying my spells 50-64 because prices were reasonable, and I would just wait until I could find a bargain or go farm for it with some friends.

However, I really haven't done much raiding and I am not Elemental planes flag so I only had the option of buying my level 65 spells which on my server were exorbitantly high even compared to other classes. It's like canni envy or something that someone gets a shaman spell and says let's make them actually pay for this! Fo7 is still 30k, and I sitll don't have it.

I am 66 right now and trying my best to get into WoS and MPG groups, but I still have never seen any of them drop. So should I just go ahead and buy the 66-68 runes? They are going for about 10k.

Depends entirely on how fast you can make money.

I bought mine but I've never shied away from a good cash farm and I solo well and efficiently. I also keep an eye on the market and know what sells well and what doesn't. It takes time to make plat.

f you are a less effective soloer getting them from groups might be a faster method for you.

Now if I could just win a roll or two on greater and glowing runes I'd be happy....

I won all my runes in WoS and MPG group but one lesser (I bought it for 30k, they were more expensive at that time, but thought fixed invis was worth it, and got a lesser a couple of hours later, sold it for 30k...)

10k is quite cheap, so you may farm for that while waiting for a group (I farmed in SG for deepwater ink, sold crushed diamond dust in bazaar and other gems on NPC for a lot of cash).

BTW the group in WoS/MPG can also drop rare greater (WoS) or even glowing (MPG), I saw a couple of them

An other nice source of runes is RCoD, I dont think you can solo there at 66 but duo or trio named, I got some runes and even one greater there
