Our level 70 spell is a pbae 50% slow. However, it doesn't overwrite BoD or Turgur's. I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but since it doesn't overwrite could the slows stack?

Also, does anyone use that spell? It's a situational spell, in my eyes, but I haven't found the situtation it's used.[/u]

I use it in bellfast missions since you often dealing with 4 or 5 mobs on pulls, granted they are weak mobs but its still nice cushion the incoming and after you go through a few bad pulls of 8 to 10 you'll be happy you had it up =)

Other then that your right it is situational, and even then not that useful due to its short duration. But i have noticed it doesn't generate much aggro which is nice.

My guild uses a VS rotation for events like P5 Time trash clearing, MPG Corruption Raid Trial. It works great in any situation where mobs come into camp and you need an initial safety buffer while the offtanks sort out the mess. Put 2-3 shaman up front with the tanks, set up hotkeys similar to a cleric heal wheel and go to town. Durring our downtime between VS casts we drop the big slows and keep hots on ourselves to handle the stray hits.

EDIT: With 4 shaman rotation you can keep that 50% 18 second VS slow on all mobs indefinately.

Outside of certain rare situations, I never even have the spell up. It's good to use in certain raids, but that's about it. One of the DoD flag missions is very nice for VS.

And no, VS will not overwrite any other slows. You may cast without compunction, slow, slow, slow, cast again, etc. It won't cancel or overwrite.
