Ongoing AA advice sought please

About 2.5 weeks ago I inherited a shaman, from a coworker who quit EQ, to partner with my rogue main. The shaman was level 70 with epic1.0, 4khp, 5kmana, and 198aa. I have been working feverishly on plans for him including gear, foci, spells, advancement.... and aa.

I think I have a fairly solid list of goals set out. Since I started boxing him I've gotten him flagged for time, anguish, txevu, and dsk. I've gotten him all his spells except ToMight, Panther and the lvl 70 DoD spell, including ancients. I've started and finished his 1.5 and are in progress with his 2.0 to go along with about 1.8k more hp and 2k more mana.

My main problem is with AA. I've gotten him 65aa and spent them with a focus on healing and a dabble in utility... But last night I finished up Healing Gift Mastery 3 and frankly I'm still a little overwhelmed in understanding the in's and out's of the shaman AA ladder. I've spent a number of hours reading thru the resources here which has left me feeling like I have taken a drink from a firehose.

I would like advice and opinions on the best course of aa progression ahead. To that end, my preferred focus on aa's would be:

1) Raid usefulness/utility... I'm in a guild that's 2 kills from Demiplane (HQ- close, and Vule to 35%).
2) Duo/Group usefulness/utility... I don't go anywhere without my shaman & rogue unless one isn't keyed/flagged.
3) Solo or Shaman only benefit/utility

are planning on activley playing him on guild raids (slowing, panther, debuffing, panther, curing, panther, healing, panther, champ, rebuffs in combat, dots, CC, pets, and all the shit we do) and parking the rogue behind the mob with autoattack on? or switching mains?

look at the shaman as a add on buffer and healer to you. if your douing and your main dies, your both gonna die. that said, keep getting healig aa, and some more curing AA, hot crits help alot also, more buff slots. after that is done, may as well do the defensive ones, but it wont really matter, its a shaman bot/alt...its not a real shaman.

Definately finish healing AA, since you've come so far on that line. Be sure to tack Resplendent Cure on the end of that list; it goes along with healing, and certain AEs are built with it in mind.

Mystical Attuning, Mata Muram 6, and Discordant Defiance are all raid-oriented survivability AA. You also don't mention getting him DoN Tier (3 at least), that's something you should do. Raid regen/hp/mana/haste/healing buffs take up all the normal slots, along with AE debuffs. Additional six slots get you over +120sva when it matters (, , Druzzil, Seasons, Tribunal, with Fireskin/Summer/DMF for extra). That's a big deal.

You're at a complete 0 on melee defensive AA, but as a bot, that's pretty much the right way to be. Focus on the caster stuff first.
