hmm, where to begin. shaman are a hybrid of beastlord and cleric...only if oxygen is a hybrid of water and hydrogen (remember that beastlords didnt exist before luclin and were a mutation of shaman more than a hybrid).

someone stated "shaman can now main heal", shaman have always been able to main heal. I was main healer in splitpaw, DL, BoT, Tipt, KT, RSS, and beyond when the zones were new and challenging. We heal with a different stratagey than clerics, using HoTs to maintain tanks HPs with a splash of direct heals; where clerics use massive direct heals when the tanks health gets as low as possible.

In WoW a shaman specializes in damage or healing basically (its more involved when your playing, but thats the gist of it).

a % rez would be nice if there was no cleric in your regular groups, where you might die a time or 2 a night while XP grinding. BUT that would eliminate the clerics from XP rezing themselves in raids where they die many many times a night in new content while gaining nearly zero XP during several hours of play.

beastlords with champ and panther would just set shaman back to a similar situation as LDON brought...where besatlords were more desireable than shaman due to being able to slow and produce DPS in a fast paced enviroment...IF beastlords are willing to almsost never melee and cast buffs ALL THE TIME, if thats the case then they should have made a SHAMAN

Experience Rezz is a cleric ability, not a Priest ability.

Only clerics get expereience rezz, their hybrid class also gets it.

Shaman and druid don't get experience rezz.

The whole problem with the rez thing is, Shamans nor Druids were never intended to be given 'Rez' in the first place. After a LONG long time, both classes were given a HUGE bonus AA by getting Call of the Wild. I *KNEW* it would one day get to "Oh, if we have a revive type spell now, we should also have a rez type spell". A classic example of a class being given a hand and then they try to take the whole arm -- slowly but surely.

Unmei: I played the chanter back in the day, and while I do agree that our haste was better than Shamans by far, we never really were a 'Melee Booster' class. We just had 2 very powerful buffs, Haste and Clarity. Shamans always had much to do with buffing and boosting melee classes with stats and what not, so I don't entirely agree that Panther should've gone to chanters. Do chanters need a remake? You bet they do, but adding more buffs is certainly the last thing I'd want as a chanter, if I was to go back and play Daerius.
