I am not worried so much by the healing aspect, I can main heal a good bit (almost maxxed heal AA's and augs) , and I would rather slow/cripple/dot and then patch as needed. Earlier we talked about slowing helped with the healing, I don't see it, I am in a raiding guild, and am currently the only shaman main in the guild and we only have 2-3 bots that get played sometimes. Our only other raid shaman comes from our allied guild. Pretty much all we get asked to do is cast malos, patch and rebuff the dead. The other does slow but then he has the new slow, I don't ( no luck on rune rolls ). but we have so many others that slow now, its not our primary job anymore anyways. I really think the devs have forgotten about us ( selective memory ) and could care less. I plan to keep playing my shaman til the game dies or I do whichever comes first, but would like to see us used more. If I am on debuff/rebuff duty or heal I can't have my dots up, if on dps duty I have to load all my debuffs and pray a dot may land all the while watching the necros and druids land pretty much all they want to at will. I figure we will remain the red-headed step-children for the foreseeable future especially as long as a certain person remains a dev. I am tired of being told to cast malos and then watching it be overwritten by the mages, or casting my buffs and watching ppl click them off so they can get "better" ones. I read the boards and post occasionally, most of what I want to say is usually being said by others so no need to add my bitching to the lot, (mind you I agree with most of it myself) . I see most shaman I know that have the new DoD spells won't even mem them much less use them, the few that do swear they are sooooo great. I still think they are trying to phase us out. I keep playing cause I can have some fun soloing some places or duoing with some friends that need a touch of backup (mainly pallys). I loved the posts about the resists mods on all our debuffs, was very enlightening. On to HoTs, the only time I really get to use them is in single groups, if I get to attend a raid , blast heals are all I have time to cast (except for 1.5) cause I am trying to keep the "main healers" aka druids and/or clerics in group alive so they can do the big heals (luckily I have a GRC item as well as spell gem) . I still get told not to even worry about dots on a raid cause we don't do enough dps to matter or that in case of a mezz I'll break it. It seems that shaman on my server at least are sitting LFG more and more because we can't keep up with the others in anything, funny how at least half the time in case of a wipe us shaman often are the last to go down, (rest of the time we are first cause they remember that slow/cripple that landed ). I agree that we need to keep trying to get an upgrade to our abilities to bring us at least closer to the others but don't really think it's gonna happen anytime soon. PS. I have been playing my shaman for 4 years, he is my main and my 1st ever toon, I do play a number of alts but only occasionally) since some people seem to be making an issue of play time.
