Possible problem with BoD slow

Check and see if the Chanter got 'wore off' messages when you believe your slow to have overwritten it. Brohg may be right - were there mobs with similar names? Is your target window long enough to show the 's pet part? (just ideas)

Possibly something going on with the MoB's max detrimental buff slots being filled up, and BoD having it's stacking 'precedence' set incorrectly. Or did they remove the cap on max detrimental spells on mobs? I know at one time there was some maximum, maybe 30 detrimentals. If you had more than a few necros on your raid, it would be easy to see how a mob might accumulate 60+ DoTs and debuffs. I know some necros stack as many as eight dots concurrently.

Just a guess, could be wrong.

Know what's bothered me lately about chanters... I have one in my guild who thinks it's funny to land their new slow on the West Jelvan tormentor. To do this, she has to use her new slow with the modifier, plus her Anguish BP, and she just like us, only gets 4 chances for the spell to land. What this does to me, is makes it so that my disease slow is overrode, and anyone that has done this mob and has landed disease slow, knows that without full bard resists it is almost impossible. So, I have spent 2 min trying to slow/reslow it, only to have this chanter come and land their 1:30 slow over mine. It might not be a huge deal, except.. they get this one chance to land it, and afterwords I am 1-900-MixALot over landing slow until hers wears off and I manage to land mine again. Bards have a very small chance of landing their two disease debuffs, so it often takes a while to get the stupid thing slowed and is very very annoying that she's done this to me twice now. And oh yeah, I yelled at her in guild chat last time for doing it too.

Ok... here's a way to figure out what's going on.

Go to the arena with 1 lowbie and a BST, ENC, and SHM.

Then play pin-ball like a bunch of bullies with lowbie.
Start landing slows on him and ASK what's sticking.

Should pretty much do the trick.

Or bring a highbie and use a BRD to kick down his natural resists.
Then you can test the NEC+SHM+DRU stacking issues kicking slow out of his debuffs.

Post patch the other day, I have had only 1 interesting thing happen concerning "slow" messages. I've found that after casting either TA clicky, or BoD, I get no "worn off" message. Now I know that this could be contributed to another shaman casting slow between the times where I've gone from one spell to the other. But it happens when I solo. I tested it on spiders in Nightmare just to be sure I wasn't mistaken. I specifically remember pre-patch that I would get messages even when another shaman overwrote my BoD with their own. Now, I get nothing. Even when I overwrite my own slow.
