Newb question about puma/panther

I'd guess that the reason pets proc more often is they have a set Combat Effects rating close to max, just as thier stats are set to max. But it's just a guess. And btw, Weapon Affinity won't effect the proc rate of a buff proc, only innate weapon procs. CE is where it's at for buff proc rate increase.

Well, it's a bit dated now, but there was a certain amount of parsing done after the great nerf and pets still parsed more procs per minute.

+cfx does not affect Panther (or any other kind of buff-imbued) procs.

Also, depending on how fast mobs are dieing and what sort of buff extension you have, the Puma/Leopard/Panther buff can last through 1 fight, into a second, and does not need to be refreshed always at the beginning of the fight.
