how long does it take to cast your attack reduction debuff, and is it resistable?
as a shaman healing, i malos on incomming to save time(if theres a reasonable chance slow will bounce), then slow, then toss a hot or direct heal depending on how the tank took the hits while the mob was being slowed...a resist can kill at tank sometimes, so i have to be ready to begin tanking myself, knowing that a good group would pick up the burn to get it over with faster. if our attack debuff is reasonably fast casting, and lands most of the time, it certainly doesn't hurt, but it certainly doesnt help greatly. if it helps, and you like it great, use it...you wont see me casting criple before slow though...if i even mem it at all (havent really memed it since KT was the rage, before i learned to just annul the mobs instead)
with as many classes that can slow, or proc slow, as a druid healer, how common is it to heal newer content/xp camps without a slower of any type? honestly, i dont know, ive always had a slower in my group.

If I weren't so politically minded and sensitive, I'd observe that the information Scowls asked for was already spelled out in this same thread, and that the statement "it certainly doesnt help greatly", in the face of the evidence presented, indicates that he's firmly in the segment of those players that Fenier is too polite to call "dumber than a sack of hammers". Not only was the raw data on spell cast times copied here from [the public domain information collected at] Lucy, Fenier detailed how he uses the spells when grouping. The parse data referred to and linked (both in this thread and previously in other threads that Scowls has participated in) further shows that the stacked atk debuffs make something in the "real" to "astounding" range of difference in monster dps. My newfound considerate streak prevents me from going on to observe that anyone not Crippling mobs whose damage is vastly increased by procs and/or Rampage/Flurry, and who mitigate slow to a significant degree, wherever those mobs are found, as a priority over slowing, needs to reconsider the autopilot they're playing their shaman on. Honestly, I mourn for my previously unrestrained, flame-happy self
