personally i dont swap out spells that a)have long recast times, b) i cast every 90 seconds. if someone asks for wunshi, ill unmem a ice nuke or a poison dot. in raids i keep a couple buffs up as we clear to rebuff dead anyways, since my dots either resist or do unoticeable dmg to mobs anyways.

i thought this thead would be about more than just spell recast timers, since the title says all of shaman headaches

What he is saying is that spells that have a recast time of 1 minute, tick that time away even after you unmem it.

So you can champion, unmem it, 1 minute later remem it and cast it immidiately, unmem it, 4 min later remember it cast it immidiately etc..

Of course.. that means spells with 10 min recast timers like Harvest can be unmemmed and only memmed every 10 min, which is an extra slot for wizards.. da/db for clerics etc..

at least that's how I understood it =b

I'd rather them just straight up research, design, and implement new spell gems than anything tricky like "holding/swap" gems like you proposed.

I think you would be farther ahead to simply ask for no recast timers on spells, in effect thats what is proposed...just more complicated.

I would much rather have the 10th spell slot than something that will take up more room on my ui...its full as is because i use 40+ hotbuttons....which is needed if ya ask me.....we have alot of aa hotkeys. as for aleviating our headaches...it wont because we will have to watch another thing and maybe miss when our slow wore off...which in most cases is gonna get ya killed....they just need to redo the recast timers on some of our buffs imo...like FA line they need to make it so its not as long on the recast...they also need to do this to our slows...which is what we do best so why have it take 30 secs or so to recast our most used spell..as for these aa's you propose the devs need to balance us out more not give us something thats situational at best...and if you get aggro on sititng then your tank isn't doing his/her job...or maybe you should invest in spell casting subtlety...which with our 1.5 gives us 24% hate reduction on our heals and dmg spells...i think they should add another passive for subtlety....unlike silent casting which takes up a buff slot...in otherwods i dont think this proposal would be a good one. just more junk to look at on the ui taking my attention away from what really matters...i dont care if my buffs wear off the ppl that want them can wait till i feel like casting on them...they are our buffs...i dont know about you guys but im no buff bish.

Occam's Razor would say just give us a 10th spell gem.

This, I suspect, is exactly what will happen with the next expansion. Watch it be a mixed blessing, as they give us yet another nifty new spell to keep semi-perma-memmed.

more tan likely 1 new spell gem (10aa) and 3 quested 1 minute duration super buffs (that is nerfed into medocre buff but makes melee have hard-on's so we are forced to cast it forever). but something like that would never happen!!!(again)
