This has been bothering me since I started playing again...

As I think I mentioned in an earlier post, I recently started playing EQ again, moved servers with my druid, started up a new shaman (iksar this time), and have been enjoying EQ life as much as I ever did, if not more (well, aside from the unfortunate incident in NK involving the loss of my enchanter's equipment-laden clicky pet to a cadre of wisps). But I've been wondering about something.

My accounts are each well over 5 years old, and according to EQPlayers I'm entitled to veteran AAs. But they don't show up in my AA window, even the 55 druid's window. Any ideas why this is? I first thought it was because not all the tabs fit on-screen, but the AA window apparently can't be resized, so that's not it. I'm kind of miffed, because that double xp AA, in particular, interests me while logging on in short bursts.

You get rewards on 1 character per year played. To let you choose which one you have to claim them. You should see some yellow spam on log-in, I still get it on my bazaar mule. I believe the command is /veteranreward

So you have to claim them all on the same char? I've been leery of typing the veteran reward thing because I never really wanted al my future rewards to be hardwired to a certain char. On one account, yeah, I can throw them all to my druid, but on the other account I'm kind of worried about the shammy/cleric/warrior triangle I have going, and I don't really want to commit to giving all future rewards to any one char. But I guess if that's the way it has to be I'll do it.

one /veteran enables all vet rewards for that character. if you have multiple rewards, you can also claim for multiple characters. If you have three years subscribed, you can /veteran for all three of the characters that matter on that account.

Nice stuff. So that means I can claim for, let's see, it's showing 7 rewards for each account. I'm taking it as since I've played for 5+ years, I can claim rewards for 5 chars?

each character on your account gets the veteran reward. Type /veteran on each toon and you're good to go. It based on how old your account is, not each toon.
