god spells ~

hi. i suck @ eq.

my shm is going to ding 65 soon ~ tonight, i hope, by the grace of all that is holy and a little luck from lfg and/or cocothenoblemonk superplboss.

and while i have my pop 65 spells sitting in a bag all shiny and new and ready to go, i don't have my god spells. >< i understand that they are nodrop, but ... well, let's be honest. i suck @ eq. i've never zoned into a god zone other than abysmal. i did some searching, not a lot mind you, but couldn't locate a shm-specific guide to what i need to do and where in god for the spells. which i understand isn't simply a matter of showing up ... i want to get a head start on learning about what is what and where i will need to beg people to go.

also, i'm curious if there has been any dod research success w/ shm god spells. i searched @ eqtraders, but i found only a 65 nec god spell as a success.

i realize i may never get the god spells considering i'm such a nonhardcore type, but i would like any info you can throw my way.

Honestly, I would just skip the God spells (except possibly Breath of Trushar).

1. Daluda's mending - replaced by the easy to get (purchasable in bazaar) 68 OOW rune (yoppa's mending)

2. Balance of Nihil - replaced by the harder to get (but still attainable) 69 OOW rune (Balance of Discord)

3. Breath of Trushar - actually the easiest GoD spell to obtain, the rune drops from many named in KT. Replaced by the moderately difficult to obtain 70 OOW rune (Spiritual Serenity)

Ok, I did a bit of looking into what it takes to get a copy of Nihil researched..

Once you take in all the subcombines, you're looking at probably 40-50 components for one spell.
Nevertheless, it seems like a better option than hoping for a drop. Guess I ought to start collecting and start schmoozing some int casters...
