Is this possible? I have looted the No Drop items for head and hands and i see now that my current equipment is better. Could i MQ the gauntlets and helmet with my Sk 2 box (we both have sufficent faction)?

simply put, no
To my understanding the quests were coded so that you cannot MQ any OoW quest, you may not even MQ epic 1.5/2.0 pieces.

I think that if you turn in less than the complete mix, you just get it back - unlike the skyshrine method.
