Requirements for new merc slot quest ?

Hello,
There is a new quest in PoK for merc slot, news said we need to master skills to get it, I tried with my shaman but NPC did not answer me, anyone has information on this quest ?
I master 6 trade skills and have around 200 in Fletching / jewelcrafting.

You need 300 unmodified skill in the 7 main tradeskills (Baking, Blacksmithing, Brewing, Fletching, Jewelcraft, Pottery, Tailoring) before the NPC will speak to you and give you the task.

How long/tedious would it be to skill up all 7 to 300? If you can do it with all vendor bought stuff, might be worthwhile, otherwise I think I'd rather just pony up some station cash for a slot

no to get to 300 it take more then storebought items

You should also know that the dropped piece for the JC part is super rare and if you do happen to find one for sale in the bazaar it Will cost 300k to 500k.
Also when you do complete the quest you only get 1 extra slot on that character,unlike the marketplace bought slot that gives an extra slot on all the characters on your account.
