Myself and a 3-boxing friend are thinking about grinding this mission in the hopes of picking up the shiliskin trickster mask. What's the maximum level difference between characters for getting the mission ... I'm 80 but a couple of the boxes are currently low-60s.

Also, does it make a difference if the mission is on a normal or hard setting with regards to the chance of a mask drop?

The maximum level spread for any instance mission (not just this one in particular) is 15 levels.

Recently did this mission (not completed yet) for the trickster mask. My theory was if it's a zone wide rare in an instanced zone, if you kill everything in the zone, it'll drop. BTW, this zone does not repop and i did it on normal. After a few hours clearing with my roommate playing his 80 bard (a third with group afk so instanced wouldn't kick us out), it dropped in the room that zones into the lost gnomes instanced. Reports of many different spots to drop, but as opposed to restarting mission and farming the yard trash forever, kill everything, it's bound to drop imo.

I had to clear Longshadow 1 (yes, clear) 40+ times for my Swiftmantle.

Ouch, well, glad it worked out for me. Got the mask about 5 min before I was gonna start catching hell for being late for raid, after 2 or so hours of methodically clearing every mob we came across.
