There a quest given by Malgen in Icefall Glacier with a familiar clicky reward clicky effect summon a familiar pet that increase our mana regen by 6 per tick and increase chance to dodge by 20%. Doesn't Stack with other Mana Regen item, not sure if the dodge stack with other dodge mod or not.[/url]

The sad irony is that I would value this pet more than my current pet.

Whereabouts is Malgen?

EDIT: found him... He is in kobold caves near wizzy port in on NW side of Icefall. Go in and take left fork inside caves and work around. He scowls, attempting to clear kobolds and recon him again.

UPDATE: Finished quest. Killed a couple wanderers first in little intersection just before Malgen's nook. VP and regular root worked. Cleared other kobolds around Malgen to get quest. Altho he scowled, he still didn't attack and gave the quest. All you have to do is head over to the wolves and kill a few mobs and then go back and hail Malgen to accept reward

If you don't have a pup up, and cast the familiar, you get a familiar that looks like our wolf pet, and a buff icon that lasts for like 539 min. But if you say Go Away, both the buff and the familiar go away.

However, if you have a pup up first before calling familiar, when you summon the Wolf familiar, you will get only the icon, and pup sticks around. Best of both worlds.


Regarding Dodge chances stacking:


1: Increase Chance to Dodge by 50%


1: Summon Familiar: CasterWolfFamiliar
8: Increase Mana by 6 per tick
9: Increase Chance to Dodge by 20%

Which only becomes an issue if the melee in question has overhaste. I picked my totem up last night, and look at it as situational. I don't have overhaste, but I do have a clicky aura of eternity which this overwrites. As with many things in this game it will be situational, do i need 5mana regen/5 hp regen from my GoD clicky or 6 hp regen/6 to double attack. All in all a nice little quest with an item that many will find useful if they don't have acess to better raid dropped clickies.

Clicky overhaste (5% Quarm/Qvic, 7% Tacvi, 10% OMM/Mayong) is nonfunctional on weapons with 20 delay due to rounding in the math. The monk 2.0 (and, by extension, the 2.5) and Arch Magus Vangl's Flayed Flesh Handwraps are both 20 delay. For monks that wield 2.0/AMV (which is many at the high end), clicky overhaste is a waste of a buffslot, since it's only 6/tick regen, no dps increase. The clicks are quite functional and very good for every other class, since they don't use weapons of exactly 20 delay. Please feel free to parse for yourself, very offended Mr. Derakhan, as the community always values more volume of information, but this result is pretty conclusive. Your Silver Hoop of Speed click won't alter your mainhand epic2 damage, only the offhand Bloodclaw. And... AMV > Bloodclaw+Overhaste, in case you're curious. It's this rounding error that makes Blessing of Solusek Ro the best monk offhand in game atm.
