Get the Rotting Murkglider Drape once you hit 40. Do the glowing magma ring quest from lavastorm again not usable until 40 but your close.
If it doesn't have AC don't wear it. Now a days unless you’re on a progressive sever there is no reason not to have decent AC and HP on every item you have.
Besides that just check out the bazaar and look for bargains. If you shop occasionally and don't feel the need to buy NOW you can get some great upgrades cheap from folks who either don't care or don't know. Typically I don't go shopping for something specific; I just get the best buy that’s an upgrade even if that one slot isn't particularly weak. That way when you upgrade again you stand a good chance of making a profit. Of course that whole upgrade theory is shot to hell if you can’t/don’t keep a bazaar mule.
