I think you're doing fine though. My priority for gear has always been Mod2, Focus, HP, AC, MANA and finally Total Resists. I'm finally buffing over 450 in all my resists and honestly havn't been able to tell the difference from when I was buffing over 300. I've compared notes with a Pally in my guild with over 550 in all resists and we can't discern an appreciable difference in resists there either. I wouldn't sweat it.

One final note, Les. As you said, you and the pally hardly notice the difference between 300 and higher resists. I notice very little difference as well. It seems to me that if the raid is designed for you to get an AE, you WILL get that AE because it will be unresistable anyway, or near enough. Anywho.
My point is you should be eligible for the 2nd year Veteran Award Infusion of the Faithful, yes? This will raise all your resistances to max long enough to engage one raid boss mob. Even with this on, however, you will still get an AE if the raid was designed that way. All this may change tho with the resist revamp next expansion, and resists may once again play a real role.

That's what we've decided also Jar. That is presicely why I've weighted my Mod2s higher. Spell Shielding and Dot Shielding cannot be resisted. With both in the 30's I can tell an appreciable difference in my survivability over my guildmates with higher hp and less Spell and Dot Shielding. I know that many will suggest that foci are more important, but my response is always that dead shaman don't cast spells.

Downloaded the maps Samanna, thanks... next I need to learn what you mean by "get a rogue shroud, use SOS, get it done" . I have to laugh at myself here for not knowing what you're talking about. Is a rogue shroud like what I did to get the Diamond Studded Coldain Historical Seal ?

Funny thing around resists i observed. When all my resists are almost or very little past cap i seem to resist much more than when all my resists are way past the cap (bard song etc). Almost like over cap resists were substracted or something.

Lest,
There are a couple of spirit shroud npcs in PoK (one's up on the hill south of the MB). Hail them and you get a list of shrouds to choose from. Essentially, these let you take the form of a different race / class. Select goblin rogue (level 70), grab a SoE from someone and go hit the Slipgear waypoints. Once you're done, use the 'spirit sending' shroud ability (accessed via the AA tab on your shrouded form) and you'll be ported back to the guy in PoK. Say 'remove' to him and you'll return to your own form.
This whole shrouding business works well as ghetto suspend minion 2, so you can shroud up and keep your fully buffed pet upon camping out.

Before you do any of that stuff you need to do your resist AAs, per your magelo you have no AAs into resists yet. Yes I know 75 AAs is alot to spend but you gain 30 to each of your resists by doing them.
