Unless you are by some miracle at or near the caps on Spell and DoT shielding, I'd go with Ritualchanter all the way. Improved Dodge 3 does not allow you to dodge 30% of attacks, but increases your dodge skill (capped at only 80) by 30%. A skill of 104 in Dodge is not going to help anywhere near as much as 4% to 6% less damage, guaranteed, per spell cast at you. The Ritualchanter arms also have 35 total points of resistance (20 Fire, 10 Disease) over the other, so there's another consideration depending on what your resists are with full buffs.

Fair point Scowls, for me Last Blood Gloves and Bracer filled in important focus gaps. I got Vishi shield so needed a new heal focus and Devlin will not drop his pants (maybe I need to think how I phrase that) and really wanted to upgrade my Inkuta earring so Poison focus on bracer. Both of these slots had relatively weak gear that needed an upgrade anyway.
I am lucky having access to skilled people to make me the tradeskill stuff at material cost if I didn't then I couldn't have afforded to make them.
Returning to the arms debate I will stick to my Tacvi arms for the moment until I see what PoR has to offer as I don't think that Rits or Vampire hunters are enough of an upgrade for me to spend my DKP on.
I am lucky having access to skilled people to make me the tradeskill stuff at material cost if I didn't then I couldn't have afforded to make them.

Yeah, no one really considers Vamp's arms. They're in way high demand among three of four chain classes, we're just the odd man out in Demiplane.

Vampire Hunter's arms, gloves and helm (I think, anyway, for the helm) have focii that don't benefit us in any way. Makes me wonder wtf SOE was thinking. If I manage to make my own armor, and get the rest of my tradeskills up, I won't care on amalgamators. I have all the recipes saved now, so I just need to have the stuff in my bags and make a few clicks, then catch our Tinker online. I'd love to make arms with a poison focus, or hat if I don't win a Chain Helm of Insanity ... which I'm positive our Rangers, Rogues and Zerkers will roll on as well. It's just hard for me to justify spending my limited playtime camping these drops.
